While a winter storm forced some states to declare a state of emergency, the closure of schools and transport chaos, in New York City and Boston, the snow created the opportunity for some beautiful photos highlighting their architecture.
Among the more mundane aspects of life in the two cities was also captured, including snow plows efficiently pushing aside the slush that covered the streets of Manhattan, or workers handling felled branches were scenes of a winter wonderland, albeit one that was short lived.
