THE article by Paul Routledge states that the 1,312 collective conciliation cases dealt with by Acas in 1994 represented an increase of 100 per cent on the previous year. This is incorrect. In 1994 Acas received 100 more cases than in 1993, not 100 per cent more. This represented an increase of 8 per cent on the previous year.
