THE HEADLINE "Serbs back partition plan" (10 September) misleadingly lumps all Bosnian Serbs together in the camp of Karadzic and Mladic.

Many Serbs oppose any partition of Bosnia-Herzegovina. In Sarajevo and Tuzla Serbs have literally fought for a multi-ethnic state. They will be left betrayed and stateless by any partition into a Muslim-Croat federation and the so-called "Republika Srpska".
