THE recent IRA outrage in London is akin to a tantrum thrown by a child who can't get what it wants. Members of the IRA, and other military groups, live in darkness in that their lives are empty of the light of com-passion, empathy, and a basic understanding of what makes for a cohesive, caring, critical society - namely an ethic of nonviolence; which entails dialogue, compromise, and a live-and-let-live attitude. Who would want to live in a political regime brought into existence by the callous actions of the IRA? Nobody in Ireland with any sense.
