Your support makes all the difference.Your article on chaos theory and its application to movie going returns was interesting but misinformed ("Chaos theory explodes Hollywood hype", 30 March). You contrast the "hit" The English Patient with the "flop" Daylight, but in terms of global box-office, Ralph Fiennes has a long way to go to match Stallone. Even if the most optimistic post-chaos predictions are proved correct and The English Patient doubles its current worldwide takings from $70m to $140m, it will still be behind Daylight which has taken $144m so far.
