Joan Smith reckons most people under 50 have serial monogamous relationships without "till death us do part" commitment (Why will you not take this man to be your husband? 16 February). Really? Most of my friends are married, happily. I'm 36, I married at 33, and I will be with my wife until I die. That's my expectation. Love your spouse - it's a lot easier than a pointless, lifelong search for perfection.
