THE distorted claims of your correspondent JA Holland ("Secular swipes at God...", 11 March) are unfortunately typical of many anti-Christian propagandists today.

It is a gross calumny to suggest that Christians believe that "God crucified his innocent son" when Jesus was crucified by men, not God. And I challenge Mr Holland to find a single Christian who believes, or wants, the eucharist to be "a celebration of human sacrifice by torture, with cannibalism".
