I AM constantly amazed by the number of hi-tech solutions proposed to reduce traffic problems. ('Buses on the super highway,' Business, 22 May). The main reason we have traffic congestion is that motoring is ridiculously cheap (given the amount of damage it causes). If fuel was five times the current price, it would go a long way to encourage people to walk, cycle and use public transport.
