Sir: As Britain has been exporting hundreds of tons of meat and bonemeal for years, with presumably some of it going to other European cattle food manufacturers, it would seem likely that the current epidemic of BSE is not just a British, but indeed a European problem.
One is led to conclude that disease management on the Continent has been more efficient than in the UK and that the rest of Europe is taking advantage of our predicament.
