Is it not enough that key people associated with the Labour establishment were more concerned with prosecuting than defending poor defaulters without the Labour Party now apparently dealing them a double blow by overlooking their cause and silently proposing expulsion rather than voicing the real legacy and injustice of this tax to disenfranchise the poor?
