LETTER: Words of praise for a man of letters

From Mrs Linda N. Wallan Sir: Although I don't usually read articles by Hunter Davies because I dislike his snide approach to his subjects, I overcame my distaste and read his interview "O come all ye faithless" (20 December) in order to find out who Nicolas Walter really is.

Contrary to the view of Charles Moore (and others, according to Mr Walter), I don't find him boring at all. In fact, I eagerly scan the letters column of your paper every day to see if he is there, blowing a breath of sanity through the humbug, hypocrisyand cant of politicians, priests and journalists alike, regardless of their political or religious persuasion.
