Sir: May I thank the Independent for publishing Ms Lambert's 'diatribe', bringing more readers' attention to the British Airways live transport of sheep from Australia to the Middle East. And, yippee, as I write this, I hear on Radio 4 that British Airways has stopped transport of live animals for slaughter. People pressure, it seems, can alter things for animals, but sadly not for the Rwandas of this world.
