Your support helps us to tell the story

In my reporting on women's reproductive rights, I've witnessed the critical role that independent journalism plays in protecting freedoms and informing the public.

Your support allows us to keep these vital issues in the spotlight. Without your help, we wouldn't be able to fight for truth and justice.

Every contribution ensures that we can continue to report on the stories that impact lives

Sir: So John Gummer has changed his allegiance from the Church of England to the Church of Rome. In other words, he now has different beliefs from those he presented to his electorate at the time of his election to Parliament. Not only has he changed his vital statistics, he has also shown himself to be incapable of accepting a democratic majority vote, even to the extent of joining the opposition.

Shouldn't such a person honourably resign from his position in the Government and even seek endorsement from his constituency? What difference is there between one member of Parliament who deviates from his religion and one who deviates from sexual preferences when it comes to a matter of politics?

Yours faithfully,
