Sir: In his article on foxes, I was surprised that Duff Hart-Davis did not mention the largest controller of foxes in this country, the Forestry Commission. Its employees kill about 25,000 foxes a year; this fact disposes of the claim that hounds are needed to kill foxes in forestry plantations. Yours faithfully,
