Letter: Tory broadcast misses the mark

Sir: This evening's Conservative Party political broadcast blamed high council tax increases on wastage in Labour- and Liberal Democrat-controlled councils. I wonder who is responsible for the poor management that has caused the recent record hikes in income tax, national insurance and the scope of VAT.
