Sir: Yesterday's report of the return of Sixties slang ('It's fab] Feeling groovy is back in fashion', 21 October) reminded me of when at an international conference in France I described something as outre. This was not understood by French colleagues until one exclaimed, 'Ah, le monsieur a dit que c'est far out.'
