Sir: Yes - stress is certainly the wrong word to use when attempting to diagnose and alleviate the conditions described in Jerome Burne's article (2 February).

Perhaps it would be more honest and useful if we dropped

this meaningless euphemism and were courageous enough to say 'unhappy'.
