Sir: Some of Ted Howl's bugs (Letters, 18 July) are in my (organic) garden, but not all. Bees, hoverflies and blackfly are plentiful, and there are moths about, too. Ladybirds, greenfly and whitefly are absent. There are a few wasps and butterflies. Is it just coincidence that the aphid population has declined at the same time as the ladybirds?
Yours faithfully,
