Sir: I assure Professor Broadbent (Letters; "Fluid words and helpful fluids", 5 September) that with my old Olivetti, I can "get exactly the right word in exactly the right place".
All I have to do is to take a pen, draw a line through the wrong words and write the right word above it. If it's in the wrong place, I can draw a line round it and an arrow leading to the right place.
Satisfyingly creative, rather like sculpture.
Yours etc,
Kenneth Dover
