Sir: In support of a policy for maintaining good children's radio, I can only repeat my oft-quoted story of the child asked to compare sound and television: 'I like television but the pictures on radio are better.' Perhaps some people may be persuaded more by the obvious benefit to children's eyes than the need for stimulating their imagination.
