Sir: If Victor Osborne ("Six weeks with the au pair from hell", 16 May) continues to use untrained and inexperienced carers for his child, such as au pairs, he should expect problems.

I suggest he pays for a professionally trained nanny or uses a registered childminder. Better for his peace of mind.
