I MUST take issue with Fritz Spiegl, who contests in his letter (28 June) that your paper devotes 'disproportionate space to pop, 90 per cent of which is ephemeral rubbish.'
Firstly I would much prefer to read about, say, the Freddie Mercury/Queen concert than our monarch's family affairs.
Secondly how can we take seriously such an instant dismissal of pop music from somebody who has not even heard of Prince.
