Sir: At least as important as political correctness is factual correctness. Bryn Trescatheric (Letters, 21 March) and others wrongly attribute new equality guidelines banning such phrases as 'my wife' and 'my secretary' to Lancaster University. We cannot take the credit. The guidelines have actually been introduced at the University of Central Lancashire in Preston, not Lancaster University.
