As we approach the end of this century it is important to highlight that the legacy which people of Ms Bowes-Lyon's generation and social status have handed down is not a "proud tradition" but a shameful example of where ignorance, prejudice and laziness get us.
If to illustrate that point we need to pick on a harmless old lady then it seems completely fair to me.
