AS A member of the same profession as Mary Robinson, ('The iron lady of Ireland', Sunday Review, 23 August), I consider it unfair that Cal McCrystal did not pay tribute to our President's distinguished career at the Bar.
Rather than lean on the abrasion which she suffered as the result of the religious differences cursing our unhappy land, Mr McCrystal ought to have balanced his portrait of a wonderful lady by referring to Mrs Robinson's fearless and successful espousal of many unpopular causes in the courts here and in Europe.
