So why, for the past two Sundays, has Keith Elliot squandered his opportunities by devoting the 'Fishing Lines' column to his springer spaniels? I fear he may have confused the patience of anglers with tolerance. I wonder how 500-600 words on his dogs would 'go down' with football fans.
