Sir: In the entrance to Lloyds Bank in Kingston is a plaque that was unveiled in August 1984 by D. F. Johnson, chairman of HMV shops. The plaque reads:
At the rear of Lloyds Bank is the last known resting place of Nipper, the famous HMV dog.
Yours faithfully,
C. M. BRADSHAW
