Sir: Keith Botsford writes that James Hunt 'lacked prolongation: he could extend neither his skills, his mind, nor his relationships, and that's very sad'. Helen Dyson, with whom he was having what seems to have been a very successful relationship, must have loved reading that the day after his death.
