Letter: Children still loved after transfusions

Sir: Having read 'Battles without blood' (28 July), I wish to set the record straight on one oft-quoted misapprehension.

Neither I nor any of my colleagues know of any occasion when a Jehovah's Witness has rejected a child after an unwanted blood transfusion. Such children are cared for with the same love and devotion as Christian parents lavish on any child who has been assaulted; which is indeed how Jehovah's Witnesses view this, happily rare, situation.

Yours faithfully,
