Letter: Children's theatre has become invisible

Sir: David Lister has obviously not been to the Theatre Royal, Stratford East, recently. Although it is not exactly West End, it is easily accessible from many areas around London and puts on interesting, innovative drama to an audience which is often 90 per cent non-white, and frequently young. It has also been beautifully refurbished, is comfortable and warm, and offers concessions of half the published prices to the disabled, claimants, students, OAPs and children.

Yours faithfully,
