I SHARE G Grey's concern (Letters, 16 May) that British Rail stations that have functioned safely for years should be threatened by new safety regulations. New three-car trains on the Oxford-Worcester route are not allowed to call at four stations whose platforms are only two coaches long. If we had a properly funded rail network, such stations would be upgraded as a matter of course.
