Letter: Breadth of learning
Your support helps us to tell the story
My recent work focusing on Latino voters in Arizona has shown me how crucial independent journalism is in giving voice to underrepresented communities.
Your support is what allows us to tell these stories, bringing attention to the issues that are often overlooked. Without your contributions, these voices might not be heard.
Every dollar you give helps us continue to shine a light on these critical issues in the run up to the election and beyond

Sir: Further to Professor N. Kurti's comments (31 August) on A-levels, when I left my Scottish school at 18 in 1961, I had five 'Highers': in English (language and literature), mathematics, German, history and science (chemistry and physics). I continued to the Arts Faculty at Glasgow University. I could just as easily entered the Science Faculty had I wished.
Yours faithfully,
P. J. P. THOMASSON
