Basically, students at Harris Academy in Norwood won't be spending much time out of detention if they keep on speaking like this, yeah.
In a move that has been greeted with colourful and unorthodox language on Twitter, the academy has laid down harsh rules banning students from using certain slang words while on school premises.
Included on the list of forbidden words are "coz", "aint", "like", "bare", "extra", "innit" and "you woz".
"Basically" and "yeah" will not draw the attention of teachers unless they are respectively used at the start or end of a sentence.
So, is this a good move from the London school?
