My dog is not fat, he has simply ‘overwintered’ well
It can only be a short time before a new version of ‘Masterchef’ is created, in which celebrity owners and chefs compete to devise tasty meals for pampered pets
Our dog now has the option of eating “royal” food. Lily’s Kitchen, a company producing organic “eco-friendly” meals for pets, has just been awarded a royal warrant by the Prince of Wales.
Badger, a stroppy border terrier, takes after his owners and is a bit of a gourmet. Sadly for Charles, he’s already moved on from Lily’s Kitchen Sunday lunch and their fishy fish pie to a rival product featuring lamb, brown rice and vegetables.
His latest food fad is steamed cauliflower leaves on top of his dinner. Pets are so picky!
It can only be a short time before a new version of Masterchef is created, in which celebrity owners and chefs compete to devise tasty meals for pampered pets.
Badger always prefers freshly cooked steak or liver to ready meals, and likes to taste an appetiser portion first on a small white plate before moving on to his dog bowl.
These home-cooked meals have resulted in a few extra pounds around the rear end – as one neighbour remarked recently, “I can see your dog has overwintered well.”
A regime of lean cuisine is being imposed from next week to get Badger beach-ready for summer.
