Fans watching the animated show were left stunned thanks to a series of huge moments in the series finale, which took place concurrently with Episode III – Revenge of the Sith.

The show has been filling in the gaps between films Episode II – Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith since it began in 2008.

...Star Wars villain Darth Vader himself.
He appeared alongside some stormtroopers in the closing moments of the episode.
Upon discovering the blue lightsaber that once belonged to beloved character Ahsoka Tano, Darth lifts it to the sky, hinting that Anakin Skywaker’s good side is still alive somewhere within him.
Fan excitement was naturally in overdrive following the moment, with one emotional viewer calling it “the best ending ever”.
