US Open cameras capture painfully awkward moment between fans in stands

US Open cameras captured what appeared to be a very awkward moment in the stands on Tuesday (27 August).

In the viral footage, which has been viewed almost 10 million times, a man wearing a light blue polo is seen returning to his seats with two drinks in hand.

As he sits down to hand one over to the woman next to him - presumably his partner - another fan swoops in to hand her a cocktail.

The amusing incident happened as Frances Tiafoe took on Aleksandar Kovacevic in Queens, New York.

“This is cinema,” the US Open’s official X account wrote, sharing the video.
