Tottenham Hotspur have shared footage of the moment Ange Postecoglou announced his new captain to the squad.

Son Heung-min has been named skipper following Harry Kane’s transfer to Bayern Munich.

“With the new season coming, I’ve made the decision that Sonny will be our captain for this year,” Postecoglou tells the players who break out in applause.

“It’s a huge season ahead for us, so we should all take responsibility,” Son then says, addressing the squad.

James Maddison and Cristian Romero have been appointed vice-captains at Spurs, who kick off their Premier League season away to Brentford on Sunday.
