Erik ten Hag proud of Man United after withstanding Liverpool barrage
Erik ten Hag was proud of his Manchester United side after a 0-0 draw against Liverpool at Anfield on Sunday, 17 December.
After a 7-0 capitulation at Anfield last season, many expected a similar result, but the draw sees United become the first to deny Liverpool victory at home this season.
After withstanding a barrage of 34 shots from Liverpool, ten Hag praised his players’ resilience: “I’m very proud of this team. We should do this more often. Newcastle was also a tough game, there we make one mistake, we switch off and concede the goal.
“But when you stay in the game, when you are disciplined in your game plan, finally it opens up and then you can take your chances,”
