Golfer hits spectator with driver after launching it into crowd
Golfer Hideki Matsuyama accidentally hit a spectator with his driver after launching it into the crowd at the Sony Open in Hawaii on Thursday, 9 January.
The club flew out of the 32-year-old's hands at the start of the ninth hole.
The driver hit a rope before it reached two women at the front of the crowd.
Matsuyama immediately ran over to the spectator to check they were okay.
He finished the day with a 3-under 67 and tied for 26th place in the field.
