England fans celebrate three goals as Lionesses reach Women’s World Cup final
England fans jumped to their feet as they celebrated three goals against Australia in the Women’s World Cup semi-final.
The Lionesses roared into a first-half lead as Ella Toone sent a stunning strike into the top corner, but Sam Kerr hit back with a screamer of her own to level the game shortly after the break.
With the game in the balance, England’s Lauren Hemp popped up to poke home a second, giving the European champions a 2-1 lead heading into the final exchanges.
Alessia Russo then added a third, finishing off a fine counter-attack, to send the Lionesses into their first-ever World Cup final.
Fans gathered at Boxpark in London to cheer on the team and witness the historic win.
