England fans play cricket outside Old Trafford as rain delays final day of Test
England fans played cricket outside Old Trafford on Sunday (23 July) as rain delayed the final day of the fourth Test.
Due to the weather, the home side are running out of time to squeeze out a famous Ashes victory against Australia and keep the series alive.
Joe Root kept England’s hopes of heading back to the Oval at 2-2 when he dismissed centurion Marnus Labuschagne on a rain-affected fourth day.
But a relentless downpour on Sunday meant that there was little chance of seeing any cricket, and fans were left playing a game of their own outside the Manchester stadium.
