Man United fans cover Bobby Charlton statue with flowers and scarves ahead of Champions League match
Manchester United fans continued to pay tributes to Sir Bobby Charlton ahead of Tuesday’s night’s Champions League match at Old Trafford.
The United Trinity statue outside the ground was awash with scarves and flowers as supporters left deeply personal thoughts for one of the club’s most famous sons, following his death aged 86.
A book of condolence was also opened at the International Suite inside the stadium, with boss Erik ten Hag and members of the United squad adding their own messages at Carrington.
Further tributes are expected ahead of kick-off against FC Copenhagen.
