Swarm of bees disrupts Arizona Diamondbacks and Los Angeles Dodgers game
A swarm of bees interrupted the Arizona Diamondbacks and Los Angeles Dodgers game on Tuesday, 30 April, delaying the start by nearly two hours.
The insect colony swarmed the top of the protective netting behind home plate.
Matt Hilton, the branch manager for Blue Sky Pest Control’s Phoenix office who removed the bees, was given the opportunity to throw out the ceremonial first pitch.
It comes after a similar swarm also caused a delay in a tennis match between Carlos Alcaraz and Alexander Zverev at the BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells, California, last month.
