CCTV captures moment hooded man threw concrete slab at woman wearing hijab on Yorkshire street
A Muslim mother was hit with a concrete slab by a stranger in broad daylight on a street in Yorkshire on Wednesday, 25 October, CCTV footage shows.
In this clip, a hooded man approaches the woman wearing a hijab from behind with a loose concrete slab he had picked up from a garden wall in South Street, Dewsbury at 12.30pm.
West Yorkshire Police did not confirm if the attack was being treated as a hate crime but said they are aware of the footage and “such incidents are treated extremely seriously.”
A man has been arrested and enquiries are ongoing, they added.
