President Joe Biden is delivering remarks on the US economy from the White House.

His press conference comes 24 hours after announcing a historic security pact with the UK and Australia, which allows the latter to build nuclear-powered submarines for the first time with technology provided by America.

In the hours following Wednesday’s announcement, China condemned the agreement as “extremely irresponsible”.

Biden will now shift his focus back to the US economy, which he has promised to “build back better” following the Covid-19 pandemic.
