Watch live as Denmark and Costa Rica form alliance at Cop26
Denmark and Costa Rica will officially launch their alliance of countries willing to fix a date to end oil and gas production at Cop26 on Thursday (11 November).
The UK will reportedly reject the chance to join the initiative – leading some to question its position as host of the climate talks, and Prime Minister Boris Johnson’s assertion to be a leading country striving towards net zero emissions.
At least eight countries are expected to join the Beyond Oil and Gas Alliance.
