Prime Minister Boris Johnson is taking part in prime minister’s questions with the lines of inquiry likely to focus on his reluctance to introduce more stringent measures in response to the threat of the omicron variant of Covid.

Labour has already called on the government to reintroduce pre-departure tests for those returning to the UK, with the current policy only requiring foreign travellers to take a mandatory PCR test on day two when they return.
