SNP’s Mhairi Black scolded in Commons for saying government were ‘pished’ during lockdown

SNP MP Mhairi Black was scolded by the deputy speaker in the House of Commons on Tuesday afternoon (16 May) for referring to the government as being "pished."

As she accused the Tories of being "dangerous" and making "bad decisions on top of a global pandemic," the MP for Paisley and Renfrewshire South referred to the government as being "pished half the time at parties in Number 10,” in a reference to the partygate scandal.

"I should just say to the honourable lady, she really must not use language like that," Dame Rosie Winterton said.
