Steve Baker lays into ‘George Osborne’ not realising it’s Ed Balls talking to him
Northern Ireland minister Steve Baker caused commotion during a post-election Good Morning Britain appearance - when he mistook Ed Balls for George Osborne.
Dialling in from the election with slow internet, he was asked whether his constituents had made a mistake, to which Mr Baker responded: “George I’m not having an argument with you...”
Meanwhile in the ITV studio, Ed Balls tried to interject, making it clear that he wasn’t George Osborne on the other end of the phone.
“Steve, Steve, Steve, it’s Ed Balls not George!”, the former politician attempted to add.
However, the Wycombe MP couldn’t hear him, and carried on rambling.
