Moment snowboarder rescued by passing skier after being buried upside down
Dramatic footage captures the moment a snowboarder buried upside down was saved by a skier who happened to be passing by.
The skier used his avalanche rescue training to dig the snowboarder out of trouble after seeing the board sticking out of the snow.
He is seen digging around the victim’s head to clear his airway before the rest of his body was freed from the snow.
The rescue happened near Mount Baker in Washington state, close to the Canadian border.
